Person Arrested

Dear Resident,

At approximately 23:30 hours yesterday, a member of the public contacted police to report that an individual was attempting to break into a parked van on Heywood Avenue, Austerlands.

Police patrols were immediately deployed to the area to search for the suspect. A short time later, the individual was located nearby and subsequently arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference.

We would like to thank the member of the public for reporting this incident promptly. Information provided by residents plays a vital role in allowing us to respond quickly and effectively to incidents in the community.
